Frances Antone is from the Gila River Indian Community where she currently makes her home. She graduated from Grand Canyon University (GCU) with a Bachelors Degree in Human Biology. As a former GCU student, she is a huge fan – “Go ‘Lopes!” Advancing in her career, she received her Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona. 

For 15 years, she has worked with Gila River Health Care as a Family Medicine provider. Her love for medicine spills over to her love for encouraging youth and adults to pursue higher education. She appreciates her patients and her home Community, saying, “The Community – it’s home to me.” 

Ms. Antone has one dog and continues her love for learning by reading and listening to audio books. She dreams of one day winning the lottery and traveling to far-off places, but “not necessarily in that order,” she says.
