Medical Transportation Services provides transportation to our four medical locations, Hu Hu Kam Memorial Hospital, Komatke Health Center, Hau’pal (Red Tail Hawk) Health Center, and Ak-Chin Clinic, in addition to medical offices and hospitals within Arizona.

 

Please make your transportation requests NO later than 2:00 pm the business day (Monday-Friday) prior to your scheduled appointment. This gives us ample time to process your request.

Important Tips and FAQs

To arrive to your appointment on time, please :

  •           >Ensure all personal/contact information is current and correct
  •           >Inform the Medical Transportation Clerks of any date or time changes immediately. This can affect your transport.
  •           >Be ready one hour to an hour an a half prior to your pick-up time. The driver can only wait 10 minutes after arrival. Being ready                upon driver arrival, helps you and others get to medical appointments on time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. I am in a wheelchair, can you accommodate my ride request?

Great news! We have vehicles that enable you to travel comfortably in your wheelchair or transfer to a seat as needed.

Q. If I get my own ride to a facility, can you take me home afterwards?

Yes, if a member of the provider team calls to schedule the return ride home and confirms you saw a provider. If you are arranging non-MTS transportation to your medical appointment, but would like MTS to provide transportation after your appointment, please let us know.

Q. How far in advance can I schedule my appointment?

We kindly ask that transportation requests be made by 2 pm at least two business days before your appointment. You’re welcome to schedule anytime before then, and if you have your appointment details early, we’ll be glad to arrange your ride at your convenience.

Q. What can I do if I have a repeat appointment every week?

Give us a call and we will make a standing reservation for you. For example, if you have dialysis at the same time every week, we will book all of your future transportation. Therefore, you will not have to call every week to schedule your rides.
