As with any health care organization, Gila River Health Care must bill for the services we offer to continue to have the financial resources to provide high quality of health care.   We bill private insurance companies as well as Medicare, AHCCCS (Arizona’s version of Medicaid), and other agencies who provide funding for health care.  We assist patients in maintaining their enrollment in these different insurance programs through our team of Patient Benefits Coordinators.
