The Women’s Health clinics offer a full range of outpatient Obstetrics and Gynecology services. We provide continuing, comprehensive health care for our pregnant patients from conception to delivery, and work closely with our delivering hospitals to ensure a smooth and safe transition from the outpatient to the inpatient setting. We also provide pregnancy testing, breast and cervical cancer screening, infertility services, evaluation and treatment of menstrual bleeding disorders, contraceptive counseling and services, evaluation and treatment of uncontrolled urine loss, diagnosis and treatment of pelvic infections, treatment of menopausal symptoms, evaluation of pelvic pain syndromes, and treatment of other diseases of the female genital tract. Our providers are always rated very highly by our patients because of their caring, compassionate outreach at each patient encounter.
Family Planning provides innovative outreach medical services directly to the Community using a Mobile Medical Unit (large RV-type vehicle) that features professional medical staff and state-of-the-art medical equipment. The goal of the program is to bring services directly to the Community with an emphasis on the prevention of unintended pregnancies, STDs (sexually transmitted diseases) and HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus). Services include a wide variety of birth control options, pregnancy testing, post-partum care, emergency contraception. and reproductive health education for men and women. The Mobile Medical Unit staff travel to and provide services in the Gila River Indian Community Districts and the Ak-Chin Indian Community.
