Childhood Cancer Awareness

Published September 2026

Small moments of support can mean so much.

A childhood cancer diagnosis can change everyday life for a child and the people who care for them. Alongside medical appointments and treatment, families may face changes to school, routines, work, and time spent together. During these moments, knowing that others care can provide meaningful comfort.

Community support does not have to be complicated. A thoughtful message, a helping hand, a meal, or simply being willing to listen can remind families that they have people standing beside them. Children and their families may experience many emotions throughout treatment and recovery, and offering patience and understanding can make a lasting difference.

Parents and caregivers can also prioritize their child’s overall health by keeping up with routine pediatric appointments and sharing concerns with their healthcare team. Staying connected with trusted providers helps children receive ongoing care as they grow.

Together, we can create a Community where children and families feel cared for, encouraged, and never forgotten.
