The Gila River Indian Community (GRIC) is a federally recognized Indian Tribe located in the Pinal and Maricopa Counties of central Arizona, bordering the Phoenix-metro area.  Composed of seven political districts and two distinct tribes – the Pima and Maricopa – the current enrolled member population is 20,717 of which 13,000 live within the Community boundary. Around 5,000 employees serve a land area larger than Phoenix (577 sq. miles/400,000 acres).

 

  • The GRIC is a rural area with a number of improved residential sites, 3 industrial developments, large scale farming operations, 1 standalone casino, 2 casino/resorts, world class golf, 1 resort/spa, large upscale shopping, a motorsports park, other attractions, wild land/urban interfaces and numerous archaeological sites of cultural/spiritual significance.  For more information on the community click here.
