EMS Employee Training

Question:

Do you think that by and large we rise to the occasion when the stress of the  situation is at it’s highest or when lives are on the line?

Answer:

No. We fall back to our experiences and training.

The U.S. Military has done extensive research on this and while occasionally an individual or group of individuals perform great feats overcoming all odds this is not the norm.  Gila River EMS believes it is important to set the standards and expectations high with regards to training as our community and patients expect it!

The focus of the Training section is to train at being the best at what we do, so that we are the best when lives are on the line. We know and understand that we “fall back” to our training and experiences when the stress of a situation is at its highest. The following are some of the training courses and certifications required of our employees. All required training is paid. We also encourage our employees to seek training and certifications in areas of interest to them.
